Thank you for being here at the beginning. I look forward to sharing our artistic hand crafted fragrance ideas with you.
OUR WHY
Debbie Connelly Caldwell is the heart behind 4 Hearts Fragrances. She was our inspiration — the reason any of this began — and every fragrance we create carries a piece of her memory forward. We lost her in December 2016, and in many ways, this work is our way of holding on to her.
In her honor, we are creating a Trilogy collection. The first, Amore Perduto — Italian for "Lost Love" — is a tribute to Debbie and to her Italian, Maltese, and Irish heritage, opening with bergamot and lemon and settling into warm roasted cocoa and coffee.
FIXATIVE — What's Grounding Us
Every fragrance is built on a base that holds everything else in place — the part you don't always notice but always feel. That's what this section is for: the steady, foundational news from 4 Hearts. Right now, that news is simple: we're just getting started, and you're along for it from the ground up.
HEART — What We're Working On
The Heart of a Man — A warm, spiced amber that opens with cardamom, pepper, and a flash of raspberry brightness, settles into a heart of tobacco leaf, lavender, and sweet coumarin lifted by bergamot, and rests on a deep amber-moss base.
HARMONIZER — How to Wear It
• Apply to pulse points — wrists, neck, chest — where body heat helps the amber base unfold slowly over the day.
• Consider wearing in cooler weather, but wear anything you like when you like.
ACCESSORY — A Small Extra
Perfumer's note: Hedione — one of the harmonizer notes used across 4 Hearts fragrances — was discovered in the 1960s and is prized for giving a scent a radiant, almost skin-like glow without smelling like any one thing in particular. It's often the reason a fragrance feels alive instead of flat. Hedione is one of the "magic" notes that can make a good fragrance come alive and be great!
What's on the Bench: Driftwood, a green, resinous scent built on patchouli and vetiver over a sandalwood-cedar base. More in the issues ahead.
